Negotiation is a daily task, from negotiating with your toddler to eat breakfast, distributing house tasks with your husband, getting a new customer, or negotiating the right price or exchange of value.

In my country, we negotiate everything, even the price of the bread at the bakery. After living in several countries and now in France, I realized that this was part of my identity, making negotiations more straightforward.

The best deal I ever got was with my husband when I started my own business.

I worked all day and dealt with our son's schedule, school, activities, and dinner time. My husband arrived every night at 7 pm after long hours working.

Then, he would come to sit down to dinner with us. Great, but I was running all day. So I said, "We need to talk about how we distribute chores in this house."

We agreed to work to our strengths; I have a flexible schedule to handle weekly activities. He manages the morning routine and also weekend activities.

This was a fantastic win-win situation.

Negotiation is problem-solving
