\People have been using CD’s to listen to music for over a decade, but that’s all about to change. A revolutionary new way to consume music on the go is poised to take the world by storm –

A Sony MiniDisc player, MiniDisc and wired earphones

And no, it’s not MiniDisc.

If you’ve never heard of MiniDisc you’re not alone. Sony unveiled the advanced disc-based music technology in 1992 in the form of a portable hand-held music player a fraction of the size of CD Discman’s. Despite its advantages it failed to generate mainstream success due to its high price and low awareness among global consumers. In 1998 Sony went aggressively for the U.S. market by lowering prices and pushing massive advertising campaigns.

However it turned out to be too little too late.
