Become a Better Writer As a Non-Native English Speaker
Yes, it is possible!
I started experimenting with writing about seven months ago (actively only four) and I still remember how I felt while attempting to write my first piece. Pure frustration. So, I spent the first few days of my new hobby debating whether I can actually do this or not. But a few months later I must say I’m pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
Throughout this experience, I have learned a lot about myself such as that I genuinely love writing, when I initially thought it wasn't for me and my almost -non existent- English abilities. I think it’s a great form of expression and it definitely doesn't have to apply to only a certain group of people. If you have something to share you may as well do so without worrying if you are good at it since there are ways to improve!
Luckily, as it’s all about consistency and the will for improvement, writing skillfully (and easily) is an ability you can improve as well as reduce. Here are a few things I learned that can take your writing to the next level even if you aren’t a native English speaker.
1. Focus on forming small and readable sentences.
Leave out complicated words, they aren’t needed as they only make your pieces harder to read. You don’t…
