The year our family went to Disney World we came across a juggler on the boardwalk who was literally sensational. He could do it all. Beanbags, balls, flaming batons, hoops — all the usual stuff. And then there were the odd tricks, such as juggling disparate objects — a teddy bear, bowling ball and scissors. Knives can be dicey but sure enough, knives too.

One reason we enjoy jugglers so much is because was all know how difficult juggling is. Who among us has not at some point in their lives tried their hand at it? We soon discover it’s no easy task and our efforts can be quite comical at times.

Most of us have also performed some other kinds of juggling. Some people juggle debts, trying to see how many payments they can keep at bay without dropping any between paychecks. Others juggle parenting responsibilities. And then there are career, community and personal responsibilities. As if this were not enough we also try to squeeze in still more commitments like helping people move, painting our parent’s house and coaching our daughter’s soccer team.
