Quiet quitting gets a bad rap.

And bloggers are in no way immune to the phenomenon or the cultural backlash. It’s strange to me that there is even a conversation about why anyone should do more than their job description.

When you work for yourself, it gets even more confusing.

Yet, it’s imperative that we embrace balance and boundaries so that we succeed not only in blogging but also, much more importantly, that we succeed in life.

What Is Quiet Quitting in Blogging?

According to Gallop, half of all employees in the United States are quiet quitters.

In the blogging world, “quiet quitting” is when you perform your duties but you don’t go above and beyond.

It’s not shutting down your blog and walking away.

Neither is it publishing sub-par work in hopes of “gaming” the system. It’s not quitting quality, coherence, or commitment to your blog.
