Some people are sick of me talking about kindness on social media. They mistake me talking about it for trying to be Nelson Mandela or a male version of Oprah Winfrey.

I don’t talk about kindness to be like those world leaders at all. Kindness is an idea I stumbled upon accidentally as an arrogant man carrying around a whopping big mental illness to cloud his vision. Those dark clouds have passed.

In business, kindness is often seen as “giving it all away” or being weak or being “very un-business like.” I disagree.

You can only be kind when you feel that the business world you live in is full of abundance. Kindness is the difference between scarcity and having more than enough.

When you have enough in business, it’s easy to be kind.

When you crave more and more, you accidentally choose greed and being unkind to get as much of whatever it is that you desire.

I wasn’t born kind and you probably weren’t either. Kindness is a learned skill that can change how you do business.

Here’s why kindness is good for business:

1. It changes how you act
