I am always looking for ways to spark student’s creativity. Sometimes it’s just a matter of keeping my eyes open.

On this chilly morning, late in November, I was hurrying into school from the parking lot to teach a class on ink drawing. I had just realized on the drive, that I had left the entire collection of dip pens to be used by students at home. I was casting about for plan B.
