It’s disgusting how rich white men profit from insulin.

The playbook is simple:

  1. Find a vital-to-life product.
  2. Carve out a monopoly.
  3. Control the supply lines.
  4. Artificially pump up prices.

It’s foul. It’s filthy. It’s nauseating.

Abomination.

But is that really the full story?

How the “Free Insulin” scandal went down

So some random troll on Twitter decided to take Elon up on his $8 offer, but instead of verifying a personal account, they decided to verify a fake Eli Lilly account.

If you didn't know about Eli Lilly before this scandal, don’t worry you’re not alone. They actually try to keep a low profile to avoid scandals like this.

Eli Lilly is one of the biggest insulin makers in the world. Insulin is an essential hormone that most diabetics use to control their blood sugar levels. Eli Lilly has also been accused of artificially driving insulin prices through the roof in a diabetic-pestered society.
