If you live in the United States, then you’ve probably heard about Casper mattresses. A decade ago, when buying a mattress was a tedious and time-consuming task. Five founders (Philip Krim, Neil Parikh, T. Luke Sherwin, Jeff Chapin, and Gabriel Flateman) of Casper came up with an idea to sell mattresses online and launched Casper in April 2014.

Before Casper, people used to deal with jingles on TV ads and in-store sales guys to buy a mattress. Millennial-focused Casper completely changed the buying experience of a mattress. And by 2019, Casper raised a funding round that valued its brand at one billion dollars.

Throughout their journey, Casper had adopted robust marketing strategies to get customers and sell their products.

Here, a closer look at some of those strategies, which helped Casper grow as sleep experts and become a billion dollar brand.
