I used to be obsessed with marketing funnels.

Well… Me, and everyone else you know.

Every business book has talked about marketing funnels to death.

Every blog out there has approached the topic with every possible angle you can think of, and some you couldn’t even imagine in your wildest dreams.

Podcasts, YouTube channels, Business “gurus”.

It seemed like anywhere you go — funnels were all the rage. And at many places, they still are.

And it wasn’t for nothing. They did work. Well, kind of.

Why marketing funnels aren’t all the rage they are thought to be.

There is a basic flaw with the classical premise of a marketing funnel. It is a numbers game; you are playing the percentages.

So…there is a constant need to pour more and more resources into the top of the funnel. And that can get exhausting real fast.

Try filling a bucket with a few holes on the side.

That’s your marketing funnel. A bucket that’s leaking off the sides.
