Give your business a good spring clean
Startups, solopreneurs and side-hustlers often neglect the tasks that make any business run more smoothly. And profitably!
Spring has finally arrived in the UK.
The sun is shining through the windows. And suddenly I’m noticing they’ve become embarrassingly grubby over the long winter.
This is a time when many of us spring-clean our homes, and do a reset. I think you should also clean up your business life, clearing out the old and stale to make room for fresh ideas and projects. Solopreneurs and side-hustlers: this means you!
Let go of perfectionism on this. It’s all about getting rid of clutter so you business can run more smoothly. And don’t feel you need to do it all at once. That’s a recipe for overwhelm. It takes time to accumulate clutter. And it takes time to clear it, too.
Here are some areas to consider:
Give your website a polish.
- Do an audit of your site. If you are so familiar with it that you can no longer see it, ask friends or colleagues to give you some feedback. Is it clear what you do, who you enjoy working with, how to book you or buy your stuff?
