Imagine you visit an NFT book project’s landing page.

You’ll be bombarded with impressive statistics of writers selling short stories as NFTs for a best-selling author’s publishing advance.

F.O.M.O. kicks in at its fullest expression.

Upon joining a project’s Discord, you’ll notice the last messages were three days ago and that the server population is barren.

There are 150 people in Discord, but only eight consistently get online, and five of these are the server’s mods.

What?

I thought everyone was minting their stories left and right!

Fake it till you make it is the bread and butter of book Web3 projects.

You have to make the authors think Web3 is where the money is at and that you’re missing out by not being in Web3.

In truth, many of these projects are underdeveloped because:
