This cartoon — or maybe I should call it a thought notation, an ideagram — was inspired by a cute otter meme I saw today. It says “reading about sad stuff going on in the world” nah thanks. “Looking at pictures of otters” aww cute. Relatable content, for sure. But… Then I was reminded that animal memes like this, after two seconds of “aww” actually make me feel pretty uncomfortable. Why? Because I think they are problematic…
