This question is widely debated amongst SEO experts. Some say you can easily rank a website within a couple days, while others claim that you have to wait months before expecting to see any traffic at all.
How Long Does It Take for a New Website to Get Traffic?
For years, SEOs would talk about the “Google Sandbox”, which referred to new sites being unable to rank for months after they launched. If you’re trying to rank for competitive keywords, this is probably still the case. It’s unlikely that Google is going to view a website as authoritative and trustworthy if it just launched. However, if you’re trying to rank for a new brand name that doesn’t have an existing search volume or competition, you should be able to rank in a few days or a week.
