I started writing on Medium in 2020.
It was during the Covid-19 pandemic and I was beginning to get bored in the house.
My university course had stopped, like many others around the world, and I was left looking for things to do.
I had always loved writing, it was one of my favourite hobbies.
I would write poems, short stories and just anything that came to mind.
I loved it.
One day, I think on YouTube, I came across a video about Medium.
The woman in the video explained what the platform was and how she was making money from it by publishing her articles.
Making money doing something I love? What’s the catch?
Well, I thought I’d give it a go for myself and began writing my articles on here.
To my utter surprise, they started to gain views and earn money.
In the beginning, they wouldn’t get many views, maybe just a few hundred — sometimes even less.
But, occasionally, there were some that did pretty well.
