Right this second, imagine yourself enjoying the freedom to do what you’re passionate about without looking at the clock.

“Girl, you’re living the life.”

I’m walking with my friend on our way to lunch. Interestingly, she finds it unbelievable that I could get out of the house at a moment’s notice to meet up with her without worrying about a shift I need to finish.

I tell her, “You are, too.”

My friend is a young entrepreneur who had just quit her job after starting her own business. I’m a freelance writing consultant with a few clients for whom I provide copywriting services.

Imagine me and my friend giggling like teenagers as we walk to the Korean restaurant next to a Parisian bakery we’ve always wanted to visit.

Backtrack several years, and I was not the same person.

Back then, I was a regular employee, hopping from one employer to another, limited by employment hours and, at some point, deflated by ineffective systems, unhealthy environments, and toxic people.

You guessed it.

Back then, I didn’t have the freedom to get up and go to meet up for lunches anytime or take a walk in the park to decompress as I pleased…
