Today was the last day of the term at my school. Because of remote classes, because of slow internet, and because they’re teenagers, my students have spent the last few days asking for extra time to work on their unfinished assignments.

Of course, I wish they had all their work done. But at the same time, I can’t be too hard on them — is anyone out there not…
