How to Be a Leader Worth Remembering

Take a second and think of someone who has had a significant impact on your life or your leadership. What about that person made them someone of influence? What was it about his or her life or character that gave them the leverage or influence in your life to leave such a notable impact?

What if I were to ask that question to someone on your team in the next few years? What would you want his or her answer to be?

As a leader, we all strive for that “legacy level impact.” We want our influence on people and our time in their story to be influence and time that make a difference.

So what does it take to be a leader worth following? So much of the answer to that question is going to be dependent upon the specific nuances of your situation.

That being said, there are four qualities that, if you spend time developing them, will serve you well. Not only will they push you on your way to being a leader worth following, they’ll also set you up to be a leader worth remembering.
