We are never too old to enjoy earning our gold star for the day. At the very least, it’s definitely an appealing idea to the kid in all of us.

In my case, my version of that is a habit tracker, and getting to color in the box for the day if I got that one particular thing done.

You can use habit trackers to keep track of a lot of things. If you’re following a certain number of people per day on Medium. If you’re hitting your writing number for the day. Or if you’re remembering to floss daily like the scary dentist told you to.

You get to choose what to track according to what you value in life.

A habit tracker is simply an organized place where you can keep a visual tally of all the things you want to get into the habit of doing daily. It helps you see the bigger picture of a specific area of your life.

Here are some reasons why it’s a useful tool — that you might find value in if you’ve yet to try it. Especially for those of us that like a road map that makes things just a tad easier.
