I Became A Boss When I Got Pregnant

The Entrepreneurial Journey Is Different For Everyone

I was forced into entrepreneurial land because no one hires a pregnant lady.

It had never been a burning itch for me to have my own business like it had been for my husband. He HATES working for other people. I hate working for mean people. These are two very different things.

As mean people hadn’t been enough of a reason for me to quit my job and go solo, I had been adequately numb to the whole idea. I would side hustle while wondering, “What if”; too scared to fully give it a try.

But in 2014, I was super stressed out and overworked at my job. This tipped the scale and I quit. I got pregnant immediately. I thought, “Why not give this small biz thing a fair shot”. Seeing as no one hires pregnant ladies (or at least they weren’t hiring me), I thought what did I have to lose?
