What do all successful YouTube channels have in common?

And by successful, I mean channels with a lot of views and subscribers. What do they all have in common?

I will spare you the analysis and rumble. My observation is certainly not the only truth that exists on this matter. But I have found the following to be undeniable.

The Earlier, The Better

The first is time — the very successful YouTube channels have been on YouTube for way longer.

As I researched, I saw accounts that have been created since 2009, 2011, 2013, etc. Those accounts generally have better stats regardless of everything else.

In fact, after I first noticed this, I started making it a point of duty to check it for all the anomalies I discovered. For example, I would discover a YouTube account with 4 videos and 10k subscribers. Plus, all 4 videos are recent.

But then, when I checked the age of the account, I would find something like 2011. It shows the account has been active for something before and then wiped clean to create this fresh brand.
