I Started My YouTube Channel 7 Weeks Ago. This is the Reality I’ve had to Face

My initial goal is 1,000 subscribers in 30 days. I assumed I would get there easily. I was so wrong lol.

After 7 weeks, I am still very much shy of 100 subscribers.

In this article, I want to share things that have been useful for me in building the channel and things that weren’t useful. If you have a YouTube channel or plan to start one, this can be of invaluable importance to you.

Here are the key lessons thus far:

If you are NOT running an entertainment channel, don’t listen to Mr. Beast's advice

He is a legendary YouTuber. He is very good. No doubt about that. He shares some really awesome advice for YouTubers.

In fact, he once said that he could get 10 million subscribers on YouTube in 6 months if he started a new channel and excluded all of his current branding. I don’t doubt it. The dude knows what he is doing. But I doubt if he can pull that stunt off in a category that is not entertainment.

Mr. Beast is great at entertainment content. But would his strategies work for other types of content? For example, would…
