You know, over the past year, I’ve started trying out tons of AI tools across different niches and recommending the best ones to my online audience.

I wrote about the best AI headshot generators, the best AI resume builders, the best AI voice generators, the best AI website builders, and more.

Well, recently, I was on the hunt for the best AI tattoo generators — and for that, I literally tried more than 25+ AI tattoo generators.

In this post, I’m going to share the best 9 AI tattoo generators that stand out the most.

And to pick them, I focused on a few important parameters like:

  • The generated AI images should be realistic, minimalistic, aesthetic, and visually appealing
  • The AI tattoo generators must allow you to customize the tattoo exactly the way you want
  • The AI tattoo generator should be free to use (at least to some extent) so anyone can try it out

But first — here’s a quick Table of Contents so you can jump to the section you care about:

Table of Contents

· 1. Fiverr Tattoo Service
· 2. MyNextInk
· 3. Canva AI Tattoo Generator
· 4. OpenArt AI Tattoo Generator
· 5. ChatGPT
· 6. BlackInk AI
· 7. Artguru
· 8. Fotor AI Tattoo Generator
· 9. Adobe Firefly
· FAQs

With that, let’s jump into the recommendations:

1. Fiverr Tattoo Service

While this isn’t technically an AI tattoo generator, I had to include it because it can help you get some of the best tattoo design options, just the way you want.

I’m talking about hiring an expert from Fiverr to create customized tattoo designs the way you want.

But why? Well, a tattoo stays on your body forever, so you don’t want a bad design. AI tools are good for getting ideas, but it’s better if a real human artist makes the final design.

And after trying multiple freelancing platforms, I find Fiverr to be one of the best options that provide you with experts at an affordable rate.

That’s why I highly recommend you simply hire an expert from freelancing platforms like Fiverr to get customized tattoos.

But how to get started? Well, you simply need to visit Fiverr and then search for “tattoo” right inside the search bar.

Then you can hire one by filtering based on your budget, delivery time, service offerings, and more.

And the best part is that you can hire an expert for as little as $5, and go beyond that for more.

Quick tip: if you want to hire the best expert to create tattoos for you, just choose a ‘Top Rated Seller’ or go with the ‘Pro Services’ option.

2. MyNextInk

Now, let’s talk about an AI tattoo generator that lets you create highly customized tattoo designs and gives you access to over 244,432 tattoo ideas to help you get inspired and find what suits you best.

I’m talking about MyNextInk.

But how do you get started?

Simply visit their AI tattoo generator website and enter a specific prompt to generate your tattoo design.

You can then choose your preferred style, gender, and even the body part where you want the tattoo.

I tried the free version by selecting the style, gender, and body part — and here’s what it generated:

As for pricing, you can generate 3 tattoo ideas for free. After that, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

3. Canva AI Tattoo Generator

You may know, Canva has added tons of AI features.

And the best part is that you can use Canva to build your resume, generate images and logos, and even tattoos — all for free.

Yes, I didn’t know about that, and I’m as shocked as you are.

You simply need to visit their AI tattoo generator page and then write the prompt.

It suggested a simple prompt to me, so I simply clicked on the button, “Create a tattoo with AI”.

And here’s what it generated:

The best part is that I can further generate again and edit it the way I want with multiple editing features for free.

4. OpenArt AI Tattoo Generator

This one is another great AI tattoo generator, and one of my favorites.

I’m talking about OpenArt AI Tattoo Generator.

You just need to visit their website and then click on the button, “Start Creating”.

And then you can select the model you want to go with, write a prompt, and apply some more settings if you want to generate AI tattoos.

I’ve tried by copying the same prompt that I used in Canva, and here’s what it generated:

Insane, right?

Sure, I can further edit it the way I want, and then download it for free.

Talking about the pricing, you can get started for free, and you can even use the premium features for 7 days.

And then further, if you need to generate more or try their premium features, you need to upgrade.

5. ChatGPT

Most of you may already know that OpenAI recently introduced 4o image generation, their advanced image generator, into ChatGPT.

And people started generating Ghibli-style images from that.

Well, you can also generate an ultra-realistic AI tattoo with the help of their new image model.

Here’s how:

  • Simply visit ChatGPT
  • And write a prompt something like this: “Generate an ultra-realistic Koi fish tattoo with waves and cherry blossoms”
  • Then generate one

Here’s what it generated:

Insane, right?

Sure, you can further ask ChatGPT to edit the tattoo the way you want.

The same way, you can even use AI image generation tools like Midjourney, Leonardo AI, Stable Diffusion, and more to generate realistic tattoos with a simple prompt.

6. BlackInk AI

Now, this one is literally simple, and you don’t need to create an account or follow the usual process to generate one.

I’m talking about BlackInk AI.

You just need to visit their website and then write the prompt to generate a specific tattoo with AI.

And then download it or share it online.

Talking about the pricing, this AI tool generator provides two pricing options, one is free and for the other you need to pay.

And in the free version, you can only try just 3 times, and then you need to upgrade.

7. Artguru

Now, this is another popular AI tattoo generator which is free to try up to a limit.

The process is literally the same as you may have seen in the above examples.

First of all, you need to visit their website, and then click on the button, “Create Tattoo with AI”.

And then select the option as “Tattoo”, and then write the specific prompt to generate one for you.

Here’s what it generated:

Talking about the pricing, it gives 4 generations for free (each generation requires one credit), and then you need to upgrade to a paid plan.

8. Fotor AI Tattoo Generator

Now, this AI tattoo generator can help you generate tattoos in different styles like Anime, Sketch, Realism, 3D effect, Gothic, and more.

I’m talking about Fotor’s AI tattoo generator.

Getting started is easy, you just need to visit their website and then click on the button “Generate Tattoo with AI Now” to create an account.

And then you simply need to write a prompt for the specific tattoo design you want to generate.

I went with the same option and clicked on the button “Generate”.

Here’s what it generated:

Sure, I can further edit the one that I liked and even download it for free.

After this, if I need to generate some more AI tattoos, I need to buy some more credits. And here’s the pricing options for that:

9. Adobe Firefly

Well, in the earlier days, I tried Adobe Firefly a lot to generate AI images. And now, when I was researching about the best AI logo generator, I got to know that it even generates AI tattoos.

Not only that, you can even generate videos and vectors, but we will stick to AI tattoos for this post.

To get started, you just need to visit their website and then write about what you want to generate (there will be a pop-up to create your account, so create one).

Here’s what it generated:

To be honest, it’s not as realistic as the others, but it’s not bad either.

Sure, I can further edit it or download it.

With this process, I generated 10 different times for free, and then it asked me to upgrade to try further.

Here’s the pricing (it’s in Indian rupees):

FAQs:

a) Are AI tattoo generators accurate and safe to use for real tattoos?

AI tattoo generators are great for getting ideas, styles, and drafts, but it’s best to consult a professional tattoo artist before getting inked. Even the final design should be created by a human expert, which is why I recommended the Fiverr Tattoo Service at the top.

b) Do I need to pay to use these AI tattoo generators?

Most tools offer limited free trials or free versions with basic features, and you can even download for free. For advanced features, customization, or unlimited generations, you may need to upgrade to a paid plan.

c) Can I use these AI-generated tattoos for commercial use or resale?

Well, some of them like OpenArt allow commercial use, but you need to add a backlink and attribution. Others have their own terms of use which you need to check.

d) What kind of tattoo styles can AI generate?

AI tools can generate almost every style — minimalistic, tribal, realism, anime, gothic, sketch, 3D, and more. It all depends on how well you write your prompt.

Hope you like it.

That’s it — thanks.
