My answer to the question is YES a big YES in this case. Did you know there is power in data?

It has gained popularity over the past several years with experts in the field predicting it to be the future.
From being marketable, a well paying, and life-changing, Data science is deliberated as the hottest job of the 21st century. In our previous article, we looked at The Era of Data. Todays’ feature We shall discuss the need to have data science as a skill and to give you a reason to consider data science as a career.

Data science is the study of data. It is the study of the extraction of information or knowledge from data. It involves the use of scientific methods, processes, analysis, algorithms, and systems to extract information from data and create insights.

This should be a major force to make you choose data science as a path to follow.

With high demand comes to a great cost, given the demand of data scientists the pay is also high. According to PayScale.com, the average data scientist is paid $96,000 per year. Glass-door says that Data Scientists make an average of $116,100 per year. If this paycheque is not enough to drive to becoming a data scientist lets proceed to the next reason why you need to become a data scientist.
Data Science will save lives.
Traditionally a doctor had to manually images from the Xray MRI scans and the CT scans in order to find irregularities within them.
None the less this was difficult as the eye is not able to completely find all the deformities in the scans and would result in incompetent analysis and in worst cases were not able to suggest the proper treatment. With the advancement in Big data and deep learning technologies, it has become possible to detect microscopic deformities in the scans. With data science, the medical sector has changed due to the use of data. Data science also adds life-saving to one of the reasons to choose it as a career.
Note this is a single example of data science in medicine.
Low competition in the field
Due to the need for Data scientists the competition that is on is among the employers trying to have the best data scientists. This is due to the shortage of the required skills in the market.

If history is to tell a tale, is that anything new in the market tends to gain favor among the people. It is the same case when it comes to DataScience. Data science is new yet the impact in the 21st century is already being experienced in many fields. It has become the sexiest job of the 21st century. Research says that data related courses are in high demand in recent years due to the huge volumes of data generated every day.
