We’re witnessing the biggest copyright violation the world has ever seen.

Large Language Models (LLM) are the culprit.

When ChatGPT launched in late 2022, text-generating AIs became the rave. It was all fun, hacks, and games until creative minds realized their craft was under threat. So also their means of livelihood.

AIs are not just competing with you, they are also feeding on your content to get better at doing that.

There is a bit you can do to protect your work from AI. I will show you in this piece.

Lessons from the music industry

The music industry is currently alarmed.

AI is now being used to generate songs that are almost indistinguishable from those by real artists.

AI generated Michael Jackson ft 2Pac, Child’s Play

Then there’s “Call Me Maybe,” a cringe-worthy instrumental of the original song.

We expect more of this, as OpenAI told us that it’s working on an AI that can mimic human voices.
