Learning How To Shamelessly Promote Myself Got Me Promoted

Growing up in a typical Asian household, I was taught from a young age to be humble, to never brag about anything, and to always take into consideration the feelings of others.

Apparently, being pushy was considered rude and it’ll make people not like you — or so I was told.

So, growing up, I made sure that I never bragged about my achievements nor did I try to show off my skills or talents.

And boy did that waste quite a number of years of my life, especially after I started adult-working life.

Because the moment you do show off yourself, your skills, your talents, and what you have to offer, countless opportunities will come your way.

You have to shamelessly promote yourself because no one else will.

And I’ll tell you just how much it helped me when I started doing it a couple of years ago.
