Minimum Lovable Product v.s Minimum Viable Product
Think to yourself for a moment… Would you like a cake that was just put out to your to get customer feedback or would you like that final smacking taste?
I, personally would like the final smacking taste and I know everyone would too!
Now when we think of putting a minimum viable product(MVP) out there for the start most likely you’ll lose your customers from there. Customers want to meet their new products at a satisfying standard but for the fact of meeting a product that is doing the bare minimum wouldn’t suit me, I’d just go to another product that is in the relative market.
Some other entrepreneurs have probably built on their product at the start with an MVP because
- There is no competition in the market or,
- The product is improved rapidly and consistently.
Why is a Minimum Lovable Product (MLP) better then a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)?
Viable synonyms are workable, usable and lovable is something you give care or in other words more value. For a clear example think of this: “Would you have more satisfaction with using a bike to go to work or would you love to get a car and drive to work?” We’d all love to drive a car to work because it’s much more comfortable and we’d get more satisfaction from it and that’s the key to having a successful product. Customer satisfaction!
