My First Book Made Me Hate Writing
It was too long, edited into oblivion, a year late, and so worth it
My first book was a writing nightmare. My editor had to take me to a bar and buy me a glass of wine just to get me to finish it. My dog would not come near my writing desk for fear of getting wadded paper thrown at her, and my wife just learned to shut my office door and let me mumble.
