As an aspiring entrepreneur or new business owner, you’re probably excited about launching your business, but you might be dreading the marketing side of it and the thought of having to promote yourself on a regular basis.

Look, I get it.

Marketing is complicated, and it’s gotten even more complex in the last two decades with things moving online and business owners having to not only understand buying psychology but also learn the more technical side of marketing to make a sale.

As a business coach to early-stage solopreneurs, I’ve heard it all. Everything from not wanting to be on social media but feeling like you have to to not knowing what to do to market yourself or how to package up your offer in a way that inspires others to want to work with you.

I experienced some of it myself, too, even with fifteen years of corporate marketing experience. But it became much easier as I got clearer in my own marketing.

Start by getting clarity on what exactly it is you do

First, get super clear on what you do, who you do it for, and how you do it. That’s your marketing foundation or the vision for your business that you’re trying to build. Without clarity on these things…
