You don’t need to spend a ton of hours in the pro shop to become a pro.

This is what Jason Friend and David Heinemeir Hannson were getting at when they said:

“Many amateur golfers think they need expensive clubs. But it’s the swing that matters, not the club. Give Tiger Woods a cheap set of clubs and he’ll still destroy you.”

It doesn’t matter how good your equipment is or how well you’ve strategized…

You're not going anywhere if your skill is not up to par.

Too many people obsess over the minute details, or, as Jim Rohn said, “A lot of people don’t do well simply because they major in minor things.

They focus on frivolities rather than actually matters.

They say things like, “What’s the best keyboard?

The real question they’re trying to ask is, “What’s the shortcut?

Don’t get me wrong… There will come a time when you’ll need to focus on making 1% incremental improvements.

But that’s only when 1% makes a world of difference.
