On the 12th of December, Huobi Global launched Tezos on its digital asset exchange. From now on you can trade the trading pairs BTC/XTZ and ETH/XTZ.

Tezos

Back in July 2017, Tezos raised 232,000,000 US dollars in their ICO, which initiated the project. After a long period of allegations, legal actions and other controversies, Tezos has finally been able to put the fud to bed and is now fully focused on building their product. Tezos launched their mainnet in September 2018.

Tezos is building a blockchain that is suitable for smart contracts and dApps which can be deployed on the Tezos network. Tezos adopted the proprietary Liquid Proof of Stake (LPoS) that currently has over 470 validators worldwide. By using a formal validation method on code level, the network can guarantee maximum security.

At their official launch, Tezos had a total token supply of 763,306,930 XTZ. The amount in circulation is much lower (around 607,000,000 XTZ). Every year 5.5% of XTZ token will be released to its delegates as part of staking rewards.

Which tokens should Huobi Global list next?

In my opinion, there are still a few projects that can benefit from listing on Huobi Global. On the other side, listing highly anticipated projects on their digital asset exchange can also be positive for Huobi. The projects I have in mind that would be highly suitable for listing on Huobi are Kambria Network and Covalent.

Kambria Network

Kambria Network focuses on creating an open-innovation protocol to accelerate frontier technology. The project is derived from the successful Telepresence Robotics company, Ohmnilabs. During their research the team noticed a lack in collaboration between industry professionals which leads to significant waste and inefficiency in the innovation process. They initiated Kambria to support developers, backers, companies and users to work together, share resources and get rewarded for contributing to the community.

During San Francisco Blockchain week, representatives from Huobi visited Kambria at their Ohmnilabs office facility. I believe that it’s a sign that Huobi also sees the potential in Kambria.

Kambria recently had its world premiere token launch of their native KAT tokens on Kucoin. The token price has been trading well above its ICO price ever since. This shows that it is still possible for projects to launch a quality project during this year-long bear market and show a positive ROI.

Covalent

Another project that deserves a listing spot on Huobi, in my opinion, is Covalent. One of the two projects that was recently announced a winner in the Huobi Next Listing Vote. The project will probably be listed on Huobi Next soon. I picked this project, because it is mostly overlooked by individual investors as they only conducted a presale amongst institutional investors. According to data provided by ICODrops, Covalent raised a whopping 80,000,000 US dollars.

Covalent aims to improve upon the existing internet by creating a new decentralized web 3.0 protocol. Covalent will make smarter use of data, it remembers, knows when to keep a secret and learns from its customers. The Covalent protocol consists of 3 main features: a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), the Covalent Virtual Machine (CovaVM) and a data marketplace.
