Reinventing the wheel is simply a waste of time. I’ve never been a fan of it.
But as a newbie content creator, I’d been wasting huge chunks of time because I didn’t understand the game. Every day I’d show up and reinvent the wheel.
If there was one thing I’d go back and teach myself 2.5 years ago, it’d be the way to think about content as an iterative model.

The thing with creating on the side
As a part-time content creator, you have limited time.
It’s the only thing that sets you apart from your full-time competition (or coworkers) so it’s an important thing to talk about. So often, it’s seen as a bad thing. Limited time equals limited content creation.
I disagree. I think I’m actively losing followers on Twitter at the moment because I’m posting too much. Which tells me I don’t have a time problem.
The beautiful thing about time is that it can be a constraint that can lead to greatness. If used correctly.
