The Email Technique I Used to Convince Anyone to Take a Meeting With Me

Back when I was building my first startup, I often felt overwhelmed by the number of meetings I either needed to schedule or needed to attend. Yes, I knew If I wanted to make valuable connections with potential customers, partners, and investors, I had to spend lots of time talking with people. However, doing so often meant spending entire weeks scheduling and attending meetings.

At the same time, I also needed to help build, market, and support my company and its product. I couldn’t do those things while sitting in meetings all day.

I felt trapped. I felt like I never had enough time to do everything I needed to do, and, as a result, I’m sure I never did anything as well as I could have.

Then I figured out a hack — a clever trick — for getting more people to meet with me in a more efficient way.
