Being self-employed isn’t easy.
There are no annual leave days. No one pays you if you’re sick. There’s no paternity leave. No one saves for your future.
Sometimes there isn’t even a coffee machine in the office (the horror!)

When you are self-employed you have to actively find your own work. Constantly.
Even when you have enough clients, you still need to make sure they keep coming and that they bring their friends.
Self-employment is like a machine that needs constant fuel.
But here’s the cool part — it’s YOUR machine.

I am not going to delve into an: “is it worth it” discussion because there isn’t a definite answer. Self-employment can be the best thing or the worst thing that has happened to you. It depends on your personality.
