I Tried the Kakeibo Budgeting System — and Ended Up Wealthy in Another Way

I have a terrible allergy to managing my own money. My issues are many. Sometimes I overspend, and then I feel guilty. Sometimes I go through complicated mental gymnastics trying to justify a purchase and then I end up either feeling terrible that I bought a thing or terrible that I didn’t buy it. Sometimes I just don’t have a good grip on where I am in my spending or in my earning, and then I wander around feeling confused and unhappy.
