The Most Ironic Comedy Sketch in History?
If you look back at the history of Hollywood, there is no shortage of now-cringeworthy entertainment reflecting the prejudices of their times. From offensive stereotypes of African Americans, Asians, Latinos, Jews, Native Americans, you name it, the list is long. Vegans certainly still get their fair share of offensive stereotypes as well. Vegans are weirdos and hippies. Meat is portrayed as manly, so vegan men must be effeminate. People who try to go vegan always fail because surely no one can resist the taste of meat for long. Just to name a few.
What we see less often, however, is entertainment that not only includes offensive stereotypes, but also portrays things 180 degrees backwards from reality. Which brings us to what just might be the most ironic comedy sketch of all time — the Robot Chicken sketch called Eat Beef or Die.
