Time is precious. I don’t need to tell you that. Perhaps one of the most profound moments in cinematic history related to time is in Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. The protagonist of the movie, Matthew McConaughey, leaves his son and daughter behind to pursue a deep-space voyage. Part of the voyage involved getting close to a black hole. Black holes have a mind-bending impact on time. If you spend an hour near a black hole, years pass away on earth. This is a proven fact. Now, just imagine, being away from your family for merely days and watching their footage from the space station. They aren’t kids anymore. His son even has a child now. Matthew had missed their entire lives.

Time is a funny thing. It can evoke a deep sense of loss and grief. Time is precious. Don’t waste it. If you have a child, spend time with them. Their childhood won’t come back. If you want to start a business, get up now. You’re only fit and young once. Don’t be the person who spent a lifetime procrastinating only to look back and regret not doing what your heart told you to do.

Until next time…
