A large part of creativity is about producing new ideas differently from that of conventional concepts. Sometimes the only way to do this is to go against the grain of traditional social expectations. Social pressure and fear of rejection can be formidable challenges to creative thinkers. Projecting a strong-minded opinion and sometimes being disagreeable is a successful strategy in the creative arena.
