If you want to get the most organic traffic to your blog posts, you want your article to rank in at least three positions on page one of Google.

These three positions give you the most traffic bang for your position buck. And, as you probably already know, more traffic means more display ad and affiliate revenue.

The #1 Spot Is Not The Best Spot

Now, there’s nothing wrong (and a lot of things right) with being first in Google Search.

Many times this is the best available spot for your article. But not always.
