This Small Detail Can Instantly Kill Your Book On Amazon KDP
Before it’s even had the tiniest chance to shine.
You know how I feel about the current sea of AI books flooding Amazon.
But there’s one thing these books are really good at —
They help make high-quality books stand out and shine.
And the truth is there are many amazing books, with their book covers, descriptions, and reading samples all communicating extra high standards. One look and you know this is a book that gives people what they expect.
The problem is, many of them are actually dead.
How do I know? The BSR number tells me instantly (more on that later). If it’s sky high, the books simply aren’t selling. Not even one copy a day.
But… they’re great books. So why is that?
I’ve been noticing one detail a lot, and it could be (potentially a big) part of the reason:
The categories in which the book is listed are way off. But not in the way you’d think.
The 3 categories puzzle
When you’re uploading your book to Amazon KDP, you get 3 category options to give your book a home.
