I was going through a bit of a creative rut. So, this trip came at just the right time. What began as a reluctant stop-off to appease a graphic designer we were traveling with, turned into one of the most productive days in months. It transformed the way I think about creativity and taught me a valuable methodology that I’ve since been practicing to elevate my work to the next level. For anyone working to boost their creativity, this one’s for you.

Many notorious figures have gone down in history as being revolutionaries. Individuals who, at the time, were seen as eccentric, delirious, controversial, and extreme; Hippocrates, Joan of Arc, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, Thomas Jefferson, Ruth Bader Ginsburg…These are all people who made a mark on the world and changed the way we see and do things.

In the context of creativity, Salvador Dalí was one of these people. He is undoubtedly the most renowned surrealist artist in history. His creations might not be to everyone’s taste, and I admit, I don’t think I’d hang his art on my wall, but I also find it difficult to understand how a man born in the small Spanish city of Figueres in 1904, could picture a tiger, jumping out of a fish, jumping out of a pomegranate, all jumping onto a sunbathing woman
