What CryptoKitties Really Says About The Crypto Industry

If you haven’t seen one of the newest crazes on the Ethereum network, Cryptokitties is sweeping the web.

Similar to a decentralized Tamagotchi, Cryptokitties is actually taking up so much speed and data it is slowing down the network.

The average Kitten is going for around $100 in Ether.

While this could be a fad, this is something we want to talk about as it is definitely a bigger message about the industry and people as a whole.

If There Is A Want People Will Create It

The truth is that sometimes the most assinine object is the one that everyone wants.

In a free marketplace, we would see everything and anything that you can conceive of.

While Cryptokitties seems to be something ridiculous, people are paying $100 for a kitten, and the most expensive one went for over $113,000 (246 Ethereum at this point in time).

Yes, that is a lot of money.

Although, when we see Chinese billionaires buy paintings for $100 million it isn’t anything different.

Humans want certain things that the market will create

Again, if there is a will there is a want.

With these Cryptokitties taking over Ethereum and actually slowing down its run speed — it raises this question:

What will we see in the future?

Most likely everything and anything you could think of both decentralized and on the crypto network.

Vitalik Buterin created Ethereum after getting annoyed at his characters not loading because of the centralization.

We are in the midst of a revolution and Cryptokitties is far from the weirdest thing we will see.
