What to Do When a Client Tries to Lowball You

Sooner or later, it’ll happen to you

I was caught unawares. I was unprepared to field questions about a breakdown of my charges that early. Certainly not for that fluid situation. But the client didn’t care — she dropped the bomb anyway.

“That’s too high,” she shrieked after I overcame the surprise and gave her the rate.
