What’s in my Etsy Cart Right Now
“The only way to do great work is to do what you love.” // Steve Jobs
If you haven’t spent time on Etsy, prepare to be floored. If you have spent time on Etsy, you understand how easy it is to feel inspired after browsing an incredible platform that allows almost 2 million people to share their passions internationally. The best part is, 86% of the amazing makers are women! Below, I have 4 outstanding shops that combine craft with practicality. Supporting women has never been so easy.
- Oh Little Seed — Jackie from Dallas, Texas
Texture is easily my favorite design element to incorporate in projects. It can show up as powerful as you wish, making it a great place for people to start their design journey. Oh Little Seed’s throw pillows, rugs, and baskets are the perfect bohemian addition to a more classic, clean cut room. As if Jackie’s shop wasn’t dreamy enough, she also donates 10% of each sale to Refuge City, a non-profit organization that helps human trafficking victims.
2. Mad About Pottery — Gigi from Tel Aviv, Israel
Could you imagine spending your days in a pottery studio creating one of the most desired and down-to-earth products on the market? Gigi is lucky enough to have this life. She is inspired by nature and fashion and that shines through her entire shop. Handmade ceramic kitchen pieces is the perfect way to upgrade a kitchen and dining experience with your unique style.
3. Jaye Bird FL — Jaye from Sebring, Florida
If you ask which of the following I like the most: stationary, wrapping paper or custom paintings, I’d have a hard time deciding. Jaye launched her watercolor collection in 2017 that expands into graphic assets and dreamy custom home portraits. Her Etsy shop sparks a feeling of giving and gratitude which the internet (and world) needs more of.
4. Allyson Brown Photo — Allyson of Alexandria, Virginia
Allyson Brown Photo has such a special place in my heart. The Spanish Tile prints shown above were my college graduation present to myself in 2017 after studying in Spain. They proudly hang in our bedroom and still my favorite pieces! Beyond the tile, Allyson’s Etsy shop has quality prints that fit anyone’s style. I love realism and have always had a desire not to have cookie cutter decor.
