Everyone is talking about self-care. You can find articles everywhere that tell you what it is, how to do it, when to do it, and even what to do specifically. What you might not find as easily is what happens when self-care doesn’t go as it should.

Self-care is a beautiful, wonderful thing. Taking care of yourself is a privilege everyone should have. But sometimes self-care can backfire. We can get it wrong. And when we get it wrong, we can end up doing far more harm than good.
