When the strategy distracts you, the actions can suffer

At Business School in the 1990’s I studied a semester of ‘Enterprise and Entrepreneurialism’ centred on the notion of an entrepreneur as a one-man-band of commerce. The theme of the course, threaded through 12 weeks of lectures was that the entrepreneur must fill all the diverse roles demanded in his or her business, equally adept at sales and marketing as they are in the depths of financial statements and tax regulations.
