It was Earl Nightingale who said that “Everything begins with an idea.”

This means that every idea could start something new and disruptive.

And the more new ideas you can come up with, about how to solve a problem or how to make an existing solution more efficient, the more valuable and successful you become.

Like anything, you can get better at idea generation, and the best route is through intentional practice —brainstorming sessions.

These sessions are the rave in business discussions but, taken out of that context, it is a tool you can use to supercharge your creativity.

I accepted a brainstorming challenge and I want to share with you what I learned every step of the way.

The latest file on my Google Doc is a document with a rather unusual title, “5o Ways of Sending Something to the Moon.”

It contains a list of the various ways I think a thing, anything, can be hauled to the moon.
