Why I Took a Digital Detox, and Why You Should, Too

A few weeks ago I took a short digital detox. That meant no watching TV or movies, no Facebook or Instagram, no reading the news, no checking my personal email, and even keeping my Kindle closed (if you know me personally, you know how serious that is). The only allowances I made myself were music or work-related screen time. Other than that, I kept my eyes away from all screens for several days.
