As you might know, the human brain is formed out of three different parts. It’s almost as if we have three different brains functioning at once.
The first one is called the ‘Reptilian Complex’. This part of the brain is in charge of our instinct survival behavior. Eat, fight, and reproduce. It helps us to avoid harm and stay safe. For many animals, such as lizards, this makes the main structure of the brain. That’s why it’s also known as the “Lizard Brain.”
