As a worker, you’re replaceable. Your time on Earth is not.

There was nothing particularly awful about my first job. I worked forty hours a week, liked my coworkers, and even had one of those flashy tech badges that were all the rage in California.

If I had to summarize my experience in one word, it would be comfortable.
